We loved Suri Kachi so much, it’s beautifully designed and you can really tell that the owners have put a lot of thought into how to make your stay perfect even down to the smallest details! It’s still a wooden hut so don’t expect a super luxurious room, but for us it was the perfect mixture of rustic and boutique. The hot water works well for a bath, the bed was comfortable and the area is quiet so it made for a very peaceful sleep. Their beautiful restaurant is also a very nice place to spend time and there you will find some adorable little cats. Dinner is available although we didn’t have it this time, but they did make us a delicious vegan breakfast and coffee with soy milk, which is so hard to find elsewhere in the mountains! We would love to come back to Suri Kachi again.

With my family away I decided to take a last minute trip to the mountains near Chiang Rai to celebrate Father’s Day. It’s been a welcome retreat into nature. You are welcomed with a smile and a pot of tea. I’m not a tea drinker but I finished the whole thing sitting on the balcony. The cool mountain air is a stark contrast to the heat of the highway leading from Chiang Mai to the mountains. As a mosquito magnet I was worried I’d be eaten alive but I haven’t received a bite yet. The room has gaps in the floor board but it was insect free inside for my entire stay. I love the use of reclaimed woods/materials and the scent of history they carry into the spaces. The unfinished look I can appreciate. They aren’t pretending to be anything more and it’s refreshing and sustainable. The space doesn’t overpower the sights, smells, and sounds of the mountain making it easy to blend in to the breeze. It reminds you that the moment in front of you is a perfect for what it is, and that is amazing. What really shocked me was the food. Get the dinner set. It’s filled with some unique flavors from locally sourced vegetables. Like its surroundings it all blends into a really filling and delicious meal. Breakfast was more of the same. Nothing flashy but so delicious and satisfying. Each meal has been accompanied by yet another yummy pot of tea. Super friendly kitten are on the prowl. I’m allergic to cats but seem to be immune to these cuties. It’s a bit off the beaten path as I took a motorcycle up here using Waze for directions. Going to take a quick soak before sadly departing today. Overall great Father’s Day trip but I look forward to returning with my wife and kids.

We stayed one night at Suri Kachi in Wa Wi, Mae Suai, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable stays of our Chiang Rai trip. Unlike most resorts and guesthouses that sit along the main road, Suri Kachi is tucked deep inside the village, right at the edge of the mountain. From the outside, it looks like a simple village home. But once you step inside, you immediately feel the care and thought put into the space. The interior is warm, calm, and beautifully done without feeling overdesigned. The highlight for us was the balcony with a bathtub. Watching the sunset over the hills while soaking (or even just having dinner outside) was pure bliss. The bathroom design is also unique, with a large glass panel facing the mountains, surprisingly comfortable and not an issue for privacy. We visited in December, and the night temperature dropped to around 11–15°C. Cool, quiet, and very pleasant. The food deserves a special mention. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, especially the pork porridge, simple & comforting. There is also a small café on site. We tried their hand-drip coffee using local beans, light roast with a lovely aroma. I really enjoyed it. One thing to note: Google Maps is not reliable here. We were led into narrow village roads and a dead end. My advice is to contact the staff beforehand and arrange to meet them at the main road near Doi Chang Coffee Farm, they will guide you in. Overall, Suri Kachi truly lives up to its name, peace and happiness. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet, thoughtful stay away from the crowds.

Super verblijf, van alle gemakken voorzien! De eigenaresse is zeer behulpzaam en maakt lokaal eten voor je klaar. Diner en ontbijt en een welkoms thee met snack zijn inbegrepen. Mis amigos y yo nos quedamos en suri kachi y fue una experiencia increíble, el personal es amable, paciente y muy atento. Tienes unas vistas espectaculares y las villas son de ensueño. En cuanto a la comida, nosotros hicimos desayuno y cena, y estaba riquísimo todo. Al llegar te ofrecen té y un aperitivo de la zona. Sin duda una experiencia que no se me va a olvidar nunca. ตอนแรกที่เข้าพักมีแอบรู้สึกไม่โอเคนิดหน่อย เพราะห้องไม่มีแอร์และไม่ได้แจ้งไว้ตั้งแต่แรก เลยค่อนข้างผิดจากที่คาดหวังไว้ แต่พอได้เข้าพักจริง ๆ เจ้าของพูดจาดีมากและบริการดี ทำให้ความรู้สึกโดยรวมดีขึ้นเยอะเลยค่ะ 🥰 ที่ชอบมาก ๆ คือมีน้องแมว 2 ตัว น่ารักมากกก 🐱🐱 แถมมีบริการเอาของกินมาเสิร์ฟถึงห้องด้วย อาหารอร่อยมาก วิวที่พักก็ดี บรรยากาศเหมาะกับการพักผ่อนสุด ๆ 🌿⛰️ ในห้องมีของใช้ให้ค่อนข้างครบ แถมยังมีเกมให้เล่นเวลาว่างด้วย ทั้ง UNO และเกมหมาป่า ทำให้รู้สึกว่าเจ้าของใส่ใจรายละเอียดเล็ก ๆ น้อย ๆ ดีค่ะ โดยรวมถึงตอนแรกจะมีเรื่องที่ทำให้รู้สึกติดใจนิดหน่อย แต่พอได้สัมผัสการบริการจริง ๆ แล้วรู้สึกประทับใจเจ้าของและบรรยากาศของที่พักมากขึ้น ใครชอบที่พักวิวดี ๆ เงียบ ๆ มีน้องแมวให้เล่นด้วย น่าจะถูกใจค่ะ 🤍🐱

เป็นสถานที่ที่ประทับใจตั้งแต่แรกก้าวเข้ามาเลยค่ะ โซนนั่งเล่นตรงกลางมองเห็นวิวชัดนั่งจิบกาแฟ หรืออ่านหนังสือชิวๆได้เลย ลมโกรก ส่วนห้องพักนั้นชอบมากกก พักกับสามีสองคน เปิดเข้าไปคือfeel like home มากๆ เหมือนมาเที่ยวบ้านเพื่อน เตียงนอนนุ่มกำลังดี กลางคืนหนาวฉ่ำมาก แม้ปิดประตูหน้าต่างทุกบาน (เรามาช่วงปีใหม่) นั่งเล่นตรงระเบียงหน้าบ้านจิบชาร้อนๆ มองพระอาทิตย์ตกดิน สบายตาสบายใจ ส่วนอ่างนั้นไม่ได้ใช้เพราะหนาวมาก ถ้ามาหน้าฝนน่าจะได้แช่น้ำร้อนชมวิวภูเขาสวยงาม นอกจากที่พักที่ตรงปกทุกอย่าง เหนือสิ่งอื่นใดคือการบริการของคุณฟาง คุณลี่ และน้องพนักงานทุกคน ตอนเราเข้าพักสามีมีอาการคลื่นไส้ ท้องเสีย มาถึงทางร้านรีบทำชา น้ำผึ้งมะนาวมาเสิร์ฟ พอช่วงค่ำอาการไม่ค่อยดีเลยขอให้พาไปที่คลินิกส่วนกลางหมู่บ้าน มาถึงเค้าบอกให้รีบพาไปหาหมอ อาการไม่ดี คุณฟางก้ ขับรถพาลงจากดอยมาส่งที่โรงพยาบาลในเมืองเพื่อแอดมิท ในความโชคร้ายที่มาป่วยตอนเที่ยวยังมีความโชคดีที่ได้เจอคนดีและมิตรภาพที่ดีแบบนี้ ขอขอบคุณมากๆจากใจเลยค่ะ🙏🥹 ยังดีที่จองมาสองคืนวันที่สองได้กลับขึ้นมาพัก คุณฟางได้พาไปชมไร่กาแฟของที่บ้าน ได้ชิมเมล็ดกาแฟและความรู้ในการปลูกกาแฟ ได้ไปชมวิถีชีวิตของชาวบ้าน รู้สึกเหมือนว่ามาถึงดอยช้างจริงๆ ไม่ใช่แค่มาพักรีสอร์ทสวยๆ ถ้ามีโอกาสเราจะกลับไปแน่นอน แล้วพบกันใหม่นะคะ 💛😊 ส่วนใครหาที่พัก ได้มาพักผ่อนกับคนรักหรือจะมาคนเดียวเพื่อให้ธรรมชาติฮีลใจ ฟิลมาบ้านเพื่อนสนิท ที่นี่คือตอบโจทย์แน่นอนค่ะ
